Junior Fine Arts is the elementary and middle-school celebration of art, music, and speech — giving students in grades 1–8 a stage to perform and display their God-given talents, first at a Regional Festival and then at the State Competition.
Who can take part: Participation is limited to students from FACCS member schools and homeschool families.
How it works
At the Regional Festival every participant earns a numerical rating — Blue (Superior), Red (Excellent), or White (Good) — rather than competing head-to-head; the top entries that earn at least an "Excellent" advance to State. Students may enter up to two art categories plus up to five music and speech categories.
Christian standards
Music selections are sacred, inspirational, classical, patriotic, or from approved literature, and artwork reflects wholesome and godly values (though not restricted to sacred themes).
Recognition
At State, medallions and ribbons recognize top soloists and duets, trophies go to top groups, and a High Point Cup is awarded to the top-scoring school in each class.
