Who we are
Striving for excellence and inspiring service to Christ through Christian education across the State of Florida.
1968
Founded
More than fifty years serving Florida’s Christian schools.
Since 1968, the Florida Association of Christian Colleges & Schools has advanced the cause of Christian education across Florida — accreditation that affirms academic excellence, professional development that strengthens educators, and legislative advocacy that protects the freedom of Christian schools to teach according to scriptural faith and practice.
Our mission
“Advance the cause of Christian education by providing school accreditation, legislative, and program services to Christian schools and educators.”
What we stand for
FACCS defines Christian education as “the life-long, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a person to Christ, building them up in Christ, and equipping them to serve Christ.” Four principles shape how we serve it.
Biblical Authority
Teaching methods change with technology and a better understanding of how students learn. The Biblical truths taught are never compromised.
Religious Liberty
We defend the freedom of Christian schools to operate through legislative support in Tallahassee.
School Autonomy
FACCS does not seek to control how a member school operates. Participation in our services — accreditation included — is voluntary.
Denominational Neutrality
We promote no one church or denomination over another. Our standards rest on evangelical Biblical values, not denominational dogma or cultural bias.
What we do
Academic excellence through accreditation, program services through educator development and student competition, and liberty through legislative support — delivered across six areas of ministry.
Accreditation & Co-accreditation
A rigorous, Christ-centered process — with national co-accreditation available after full status.
Legislative Services
A consistent, principled voice for Christian schools before the Florida Legislature.
Educator Certification
Professional certification for Christian teachers and administrators.
Professional Development
Conferences and conventions for growth, training, and fellowship.
Student Competitions
Spelling Bee, Creative Writing, Brain Bowl, and Fine Arts events statewide.
Job Placement
A statewide job board connecting schools with mission-aligned educators.
Ten men, one conviction
In 1968, ten Christian school leaders met to make sure the schools they served could keep teaching what they believed. What followed was five decades of defending Christian education in Florida — and then writing the language that made the defense last.
