Elementary Teacher 2026-2027

Upper Elementary Teaching Position Opening for August 2026 - May 2027 School Year

This position requires a 4 year elementary education degree. Applicants should also be proficient in basis computer programs. 

Classroom duties may include the following: 

• must teach in accord with stated philosophy and mission of Brush Arbor Christian School
• prepare parent orientation notes and for quarterly parent-teacher meetings
• prepare and submit weekly lesson plans online
• teach subject matter effectively following the Abeka curriculum
• prepare and give tests and quizzes
• input grades online 
• maintain classroom control
• maintain communication with parents
• establish a grade book and keep accurate records
• take attendance daily
• monitor the health and safety of students
• report any suspected child abuse or neglect
• clean classroom daily 

Other duties may include the following:

• help plan field trips, class parties, art projects, programs
• assist in student pickup and dismissal
• prepare bulletin boards
• conduct parent conferences
• Answer parent questions promptly
• attend professional conferences to maintain teacher certification
• attend church faithfully
