The Chief Operating Officer (COO) shall prayerfully help students in their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. The COO is responsible for overseeing the school’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective management of resources and processes to support the school’s mission and goals. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to upholding the school’s Christian values. The role performs a variety of strategic and tactical administrative tasks. The COO will lead and manage key administrative areas including facilities, grounds, safety, transportation, IT, compliance and maintenance. In collaboration with other members of the leadership team, the COO helps to shape long-term strategies. At all times the COO will provide excellent customer service to families, students, faculty and staff. This role requires a seasoned, mission-driven leader with a strong understanding of operational best practices in a private school setting, a heart for Christian education, and the ability to balance stewardship with innovation and growth.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

Previous experience in operational management or a related role, preferably in an educational setting with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and positive attitude.
- Working knowledge of safety, personnel, business operations, finance, transportation, admissions, maintenance, facilities, supply, custodian, and grounds plans/policies

Must be able to work with and positively influence the RBCS board of directors, local businesses and educational community, government inspectors, parents, vendors, contractors, staff, faculty, and students while displaying a Christian worldview
Additional Requirements:
- A strong, clear Christian testimony, acknowledging Jesus Christ as Savior, and seeking to live as His disciple
- A demonstrated acceptance without reservation of the Rocky Bayou Christian School Statement of Faith
- A mature, godly spirit that desires spiritual growth as evidenced by his/her prayer life, Bible study and spiritual outreach to others
- A Christian role-model (Luke 6:40) in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for sexual conduct
- Must enroll any school aged children in Rocky Bayou Christian School or other approved Christian education venue
- Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education course provided by Rocky Bayou Christian School
Pay Range starting at $55K, may vary based on experience and degrees.
