The FACCS Creative Writing Regional Festivals and State Competition are writing events for 1st through 8th grade students.

FACCS Creative Writing Regional Festival 2014
Click here to download the Poetry and Essay topics for 2014 (PDF) - will be available in late 2013. All entries Elementary and Middle School Poetry and Essay must select one of these topics from the appropriate category.
Online Registration on left. Registration MUST be completed by no later than January 17th, 2014.
The Regional Festival is held via post mail as entries are mailed in to be judged. Entries must arrive at your regional event location by no later than Friday, January 24, 2014. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!!! Click here for addresses to which you should send your entries.
Contact your regional or event coordinator for specific mailing instructions if not listed below.
Regional Festival entries in each grade and category that receive the highest evaluation per grade/category with at least an "Excellent" rating will be automatically forwarded to the FACCS Creative Writing State Competition.
Entries that are not forwarded to State Competition will be mailed back to the school after February 15th.
FACCS Creative Writing State Competition
The piece in each category/grade with the highest evaluation per grade/category with at least an "Excellent" rating from the Regional Festival will be automatically forwarded on to this Competition.
Winners from this event will be published on this web site.
Entries and awards from this event will be mailed back to the school after mid-March 2014.

Download this file to your computer - open the file in any version of Adobe Reader - type the name of each participating student from your school into the appropriate field - print to your local printer (you may want to print this on special paper)
Be sure to mail early enough and use the carrier/method that will guarantee delivery by the due date.
